K'nex Spider Trap Challenge

A rare spider has escaped from the zoo.  Our challenge was to use K'nex to build a trap, which could catch the spider and return it to the zoo, without hurting it.  We had to work in groups of three or four, and we had one hour to complete the challenge.
These are our completed traps.  Aren't they amazing?

K'nex Butterfly Challenge

Our challenge was to work in groups to create a butterfly out of K'nex. 
















The butterfly had to have three body parts (a head, a thorax and an abdomen), two antennae, a pair of wings which could move - and it had to be completed in an hour!

Handwork

Over the Winter months we have enjoyed handwork on Thursday afternoons.  With the valuable help of our handwork ladies, we have been learning to sew and knit.
