German

We have been learning the names of colours in German.  We also loved hearing 'Die sehr hungrige Raupe' ('The very hungry caterpillar') being read in German!

Maths activities

This week we have been learning to use grid references to find objects or places on grids and maps.  Today we played different games using these skills.

Outdoor Learning

The problem - to find a way to cross the crocodile infested swamp using only four stepping stones.  Only one person was allowed on a stone at a time, everyone had to get across and nobody was allowed to step in the swamp!
Let's plan carefully!
It's always good to talk.
Good teamwork!
Nearly there!

Roots of Empathy

During last Tuesday's Roots of Empathy session, Alastair discussed with us reasons why a baby might feel upset and how a baby might show this.

Visit from Historic Scotland Ranger

Last week Sandra Miller, one of the Historic Scotland Rangers, visited Primary 3 to tell us more about the Vikings.  She showed us various Viking artefacts and explained what they were and how they were used.  Some of our favourites were the Viking drinking horn and the chess pieces.
